Apple Betty

This is a super simple apple dessert that you eat with ice cream.

To start, you want 2 apples. Preferably Granny Smiths - or another baking apple.

Butter a pie plate.

Peel, core, and slice your apples, and pile them in the pie plate.

Now in a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup sugar

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp nutmeg.

Stir to combine.

Now mix in 1 stick (1/2 cup) of soft butter. You may need to mash it with a wooden spoon to get it mixed. Mixture will be clumpy.

NOTE! - I forgot to take a picture of this. Drizzle 1/4 cup of orange juice over the apples in the pie dish.

Layer the sugar mixture on top of the apples.

Bake at 374 degrees for 40-45 minutes, or until the apples are tneder and the topping is crisp.

Serve warm, with ice cream.
