Over the weekend, we finally got some semi-clear skies, and were able to enjoy the results of the recent solar flares.

A funny thing occured when I stopped out here to take some pictures.

I had just gotten out of my vehicle, and was locking my camera onto the tripod in complete darkness. When the tripod "clicked" I suddenly heard large footsteps clomping through the snow just a few feet away!!!

Talk about an instant heart attack!!! Apparently there was a moose right there, and I hadn't seen it!

So when my heart rate calmed back down, I took a few pictures.

Here you can see where a car came down the road behind me while the shutter was open. Its headlights lit up the scenery.
