Sweet Potato Casserole

I absolutely love this fall side dish. My family literally fights over the leftovers...when there are any.

What a Sight

It has been a crazy week. Training, meetings, homeschooling, etc.

I wanted to share with you, this photo that I took the other day. Can you believe this is October? My friends back in NC have still been dealing with 80 degree temps.....and I get things like this.

A Giant Slushie

Yesterday, we headed over to the river because Joshua needed some water from a natural source for some Biology labs. Thankfully, we were able to access the water without having to break through the ice....but that's won't last much longer!

An Autumn Treat...

This is such a terrible teaser!

But later today, this recipe will be posting...

Right now I am watching a special episode of GBTV, about homeschooling, and my son's FAVORITE book, Michael Vey: Prisoner of Cell 25.

A Very Special Video

I don't post youtube videos on here often, but this one is very special to me. It is the 82d Airborne Chorus singing my favorite song, at Ground Zero.

The lead singer of this song, is Chris Stout. Husband, and father of three girls. He was killed in Aghanistan in 2010. I knew Chris and his family from my church there in NC. He was a gifted singer, and is no doubt, singing in the presence of our Lord today.

Here is a link to the video on youtube, in case the embedded version doesn't work. I wish this version of the video were complete, like another one I had seen.

Last night

Last night, I was out taking Aurora pictures again, and as I was going through the pictures, I saw this:

A shooting star!

Going Fishing

The other day, we headed up to the Chatanika to go fishing. We didn't catch anything, but we certainly had fun.

First Snow Flurries

Last week, on September 30th, we saw the first snow flurries of the year!

This is a tiny bit of snow that landed on the hood of my van. It melted as fast as it hit, but will stay!

Another Night Show

Last night, I came home from an army wives' function, to a beautiful show in the sky yet again!
