Yesterday, we headed over to the river because Joshua needed some water from a natural source for some Biology labs. Thankfully, we were able to access the water without having to break through the ice....but that's won't last much longer!
When we got there, we parked near a little lagoon. It was quite a view. The water around the edges was still in a liquid state, so he was able to get his water samples.
The dogs had fun running around too.
The river itself though, was really cool. Standing there you could hear the ice clinking and crunching together. It won't be long before this begins turning into a solid mass.
I did take a short video of it, which you can see HERE. If you listen carefully to it, you can hear the "slushing" noises of the ice.
In any case, it was a lovely afternoon outing. And, I think the snow may be here for good!
