Cinnamon Doughnut Muffins

1 3/4 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon
3/4 c sugar
1/3 c vegetable oil
1 egg slightly beaten
3/4 c milk
Jam

Topping:
1/4 c melted butter/margarine
1/3 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
In another bowl, combine sugar, egg, oil and milk; stir into dry ingredients until just moistened.
Fill greased, or paper-lined muffin cups 1/2 full.
Place 1 tsp of jam on top of batter.
Cover jam with remaining batter, cups should be 3/4 full.
Bake at 350ยบ 20-25 minutes or until muffins test done.

In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. In another small bowl, place melted butter.
Carefully dip hot muffins into butter, then into cin-sugar.

Serve warm.

Makes 12 muffins.
