My Meatloaf

I have tried many different recipes for it, and after a while developed my own recipe.  If you like meatloaf, maybe you will like this version.

1 c fresh bread crumbs (or 3/4 c dry)
½ c grated parmesan cheese (the fresh kind you get in the cold cases, not the dry powder you get in the pasta aisle)
2 eggs
½ c milk
1 onion, finely chopped
1 – 2 Tb Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp parsley
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 lb lean ground beef
(add salt & pepper according to taste)

Topping:
1 Tb Worcestershire sauce
¼ c brown sugar
1/3 c ketchup

Combine first eleven/twelve ingredients. Mix in ground beef. Place in a 9x9 baking pan, or similar size. Combine topping ingredients and spread over meat mixture.
Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour, or until a meat thermometer in center reads 185 degrees, or it is done in the center. Allow to cool a couple minutes before serving.

Enjoy!
